Begin with the role you will actually perform
Ask which ward or care setting you will join, who supervises you, what duties apply before full recognition, and whether the role changes after recognition. Clarify shift expectations, weekends, nights, handover practices and orientation length.
Understand the pay structure
The stated figure may not show shift supplements, collectively agreed classification, probation conditions or deductions. Ask which collective agreement or pay basis applies, which experience was counted, and whether accommodation or recruitment costs will be deducted.
Test the relocation promises
“Accommodation provided” should lead to questions about duration, rent, deposit, location and what happens afterward. Recognition support should identify who helps, what fees are covered and whether working time is available for adaptation or language requirements.
Request answers in writing before making irreversible travel or resignation decisions. For legal interpretation of a contract or residence question, consult an appropriately qualified German professional.
